On the left is a bowl of taro balls (shaped like small nuggets), taro paste (shaped like a scoop of ice cream) and grass jelly (shape like black jelly). On the right is just a cup of ice tea : )
What is that black tar
Grass jelly, it’s made of mesona (a kind of herb in the mint family). It’s also a kind of common material used in traditional Taiwanese ice desserts.
